FOR THE LOVE OF COLORS

Autumn is on our neck and summer days are long gone, I would normally be grieving the pleasurable weather and long sunny spells being a very very cold person, but Fall is unquestionably the most exciting time of the year.

There are so many interesting Holidays during this season period full of amazing home decors, fun DIY preparation and of course it is the exciting leading up time to Xmas. Hot mulled wines and hot chocolates are getting more frequent to keep our fingers warm whilst admiring the colors what Autumn days are bringing along.

Fall color combinations are dark red, wine, plum, maroon and burgundy primarily, but additionally a myriad of other colors on the palette are making their presence all the way from burnt orange, through mustard, buttery yellow and moss green tinted leaves creating many opportunities to enjoy this season in the best way we can.

And then leaves starts falling like little colorful confettis. Love Autumn

For me the shade that summarises and ultimately describes this season is very much tied to the color burgundy, which is I think the essence of Fall. With its rich, warmth dark red tone makes me think of richness, harvest time, slow down to embrace the ending of a cycle with a tingling glimpse of a new beginning.

We enjoyed plenty of fresh shades from soft spring green, bright yellow, coral, peachy pinks to light pastels and light tan that energetic spring brought along, then golden yellow followed in the summer with variations of blues, pinks and oranges then we slowly approached to darker colors in harmony with longer and darker evenings in preparation for a new kick-off.

In today’s post and to continue expressing my LOVE for COLOR and it is time to praise another incredible one on the color palette and share interesting information and inspirational ideas how you can bring it into your life to spice up your days with the color of wine, Burgundy.

Burgundy

Burgundy, maroon, and dark wine red are similar however burgundy is the colour which has more purple tone than the other ones.

In colour psychology if this is the color you love the most it means seeking status, financial stability, it can also mean someone who puts an emphasis on appearances meanwhile being an introverted personality. Burgundy elevates its surrounding therefore it suggests luxury, wealth, ambition, abundance and oftentimes considered to be a symbolic color of sophistication, class, high social status with a tone of seriousness around it.

Variants of pink represent fun, light energy therefore the lack of pink hues pushes this color to the other scale generating the opposite. Burgundy shade brings along an aura of power, also associated with elegance, affluent appearances with soft-spoken sophistications and reserved fashion.

Do you love red?

Burgundy can be a great alternative since it belongs to the dark red color family, still gives energy and liveliness but unlike strawberry red or tomato red, burgundy comforting warmth comes through in a subtle style. The hues are less obvious, almost supervised which creates a vibe of seriousness around it, too.

Interesting

Burgundy got its name after a certain type of red wine from a French wine region. Interestingly enough Burgundy region is famous for its red wines but equally famous for its white ones too unlike Bordeaux region being mainly famous for its red wines, this color still inherited the name burgundy.
