Hello,
I’m Dori. I am a passionate crafter, transformer and love DIY everything. I have an enthusiastic drive that keeps pushing me to create & make and bring another dori - fied version to life. Spice it up with Dori was born in 2021. Quarantine led me to delve into many projects and dedicate a website to my creations, which I wanted to share!
Hope you find inspirations & embrace your creative lifestyle. Because,
It puts you in the Flow — good for our neurons :)
We are swamped by trash! we can always opt for a sustainable option, re-use, transform what we already have instead of contributing to the global issue

Thick, grey clouds looming over the capital blocking the Sun. Unmistakable, signature London clouds being cemented to the sky for weeks on end and the vibe it put me into played a major role in my ever increasing craving for more colours, unusual designs and experiment with fun outfits for a cheer-up!
After spending part of my life working in a corporate office environment, one that sought to encourage uniformity and minimise the amount of colour worn by employees also impacted me, I came to realise how important individual expression is to me, especially through clothing. There is so much potential inspiration for fashion in the world, whether it comes from a forgotten item of clothing that you find buried within your wardrobe or from a unique piece of DIY clothing that you have made yourself, all of which can express the best parts of a person’s personality.
Seek to encourage people to embrace individuality over mass trends, choose personality over uniformity.
Let your fun side shine bright when mundane sneaks back into everyday life!
What goes around comes around
By seeking to repurpose clothing, Spice It Up With Dori also supports my other life-long interest, which is environmental sustainability.
I find it hard to see the effects that fast fashion has upon the world, watching as low-quality garments are created only for so many of them to end up disposed of, which is why my project is keenly rooted in upcycling old and unsold, unwanted clothes, so as the help demonstrate the benefits of quality of a slow fashion clothing alternative.
