FAQ
How do I do the garments I sell in my shop ?
As a passionate crafter and dedicated supporter of DIY clothing, I start each of my projects with pre-existing materials and products. I love to repurpose clothing. This can be absolutely anything too. Sometimes it is an item sold on sale, which I save from being burnt, other times it is an unusual piece of textile that calls out to be transformed labelled as “scrap”! Inspiration is everywhere and I seek to find it every day.
Eco - mindset
By using already produced materials, often those that may otherwise be wasted, my homemade clothes also help to reduce the problems involved with fast fashion. There is so much clothing and material in the world, much of it mass-produced, made with the likelihood of ending up in a landfill. This is an incredible shame, not only for our environment but also because I believe each piece of fabric has the potential to become something new or better, upcycled into a new item of clothing, one that can bring joy to the world!
I also work with a number of small, ethical suppliers, buying essential extras, such as clothing tags and packaging, from eco-friendly and sustainable sources. This way you know that, with each purchase, you are supporting an entire chain of sustainable businesses and creators.
Share & Inspire
It is my hope that my creative work can help others to express themselves, finding the colours and designs that echo the vitality and excitement of their personality. Fashion has the potential to bring so much happiness to the world and, when upcycling old clothes, it is always my intention to find the potential joy in each piece, the type that makes the wearer and those around them smile!
Ordering process
My goal is to create unusual, fun unique pieces - just to celebrate how different we all are :-) coming from this view and the fact I work with small businesses, searching for unused, unwanted already manufactured materials, leftovers, scraps, unsold clothes, therefore it is not possible for me to issue big batches of the same design.
You let me know the what caught your interest with all important details (sizes, colour preference etc. ) then I check what is available on my side and advise. Once you are happy I start making it.
