For the love of colours!

Colours are one of the most evocative elements of fashion. They are often the first detail people will notice about an outfit, they can communicate a personality, and even have the ability to change the impression and emotion of those around you. Colours were even shown to affect heart and respiration rates. Such studies of colour, known as colour psychology, have long been both established and applied to fashion, leading to many designs and trends occurring in popular culture.

Within my own work, colours are especially important and are a source of constant inspiration. They can summon images of nature and powerful emotions, which is something I try to focus on when creating and designing clothing. This is why I thought it would be interesting to share my experiences with colours, both as individual topics and as a whole, how they affect my creativity and how I experience them.

Turquoise

Turquoise is one of the most beautiful colour in the world, it is the shade of warm, clear tropical water, morning sky without clouds. If the frizzy summer breeze could be paired with a shade I’d be giving pastel turquoise to it. Turquoise is a very attractive colour, yet it is mainly appearing in small amount, mostly in forms of accessories and gems. It however can activate our intuition and inward thinking as colour psychologist states. Unique thinking can manifest in the external world, for example in the choice of colour we opt for, so why nthe wait ? Start now with turquoise!

Interesting fact

People whose favourite colour is turquoise tend to be independent and self-sufficient, thinkers who are craving their own path rather than fitting in the constraints of society, being attracted to turquoise can mean that deep down someone just simply wish to follow their own path and being expressing with a vibrant, enigmatic colour like this, rather than seeking attention or other’s approval.
