RECYCLE GLASS BOTTLE INTO A VASE DIY
Don’t spend money on buying floral vases, recycle glass bottles and turn them into vases or any decorative glass products.
I like the shape of this bottle and I didn’t want to just put it in the recycle bin. Surely you would find bottles in your pantry you kept because it has interesting shapes and curves and squares and you feel unsure what to do with them ? They look too cool to put them in the glass bin, but never got inspiration for a design or a theme?
Well, this might be a great room decor inspiration idea, one which combines bold colors, stripes, prints and curves.
The design of this hand painted DIY home decor floral vase was sourced from art deco combined with some endearing pastel elements, and what mainly influenced my handmade decor was an inspiration coming from just looking at the BYFLY - CIRCUS -ACROBAT VASE designer vases.
So cool! Lots of happy, energetic and playful effect put together on one vase! Apply and be bold with vivid combination of prints and the vertical and horizontal stripes as they break the flow of emotions.
And as the creators described these vases each of them spark childhood memories it is so easy to get in touch with our childhood sides and get charmed by the bold colors. I bet you feel it, too as you look at them.
Such an eye catching home decor item makes it perfect to spice up a room or a coffee table.
I tried to recreate something similar in the design but had no experience in glass painting and since it’s not something I do often instead of buying full bottles of glass paint I was using acrylic paint and my unused nail polishes. That made this a FREE, or a budget home decor DIY for sure. Of course, if you want to protect your acrylic paint you need to think of sealing it off with layers of transparent, or a layer of mod podge since acrylic paint can be dissolved with water.
If you made it for fake floral decor then you can skip the last step.
MATERIALS YOU NEED TO MAKE YOUR OWN BOLD, STRIPEY, COLOR BLOCK ACROBAT DECOR VASE DIY
To do something similar try to find an interestingly looking glass bottle to recreate a sections in the prints and color block design, and as always don’t forger to add your own spin to it!
I tried making the pattern elements with duck tape first but the paint flowed under of them so I ended up using transparent cello tape and as simply as it sounds it just worked. My painting coverages and punctuality far from perfect It looks great and perfect with some imperfections.
recycled glass bottle (some fine beverages has great designs out there!)

GUIDANCE HOW TO APPLY THE COLORFUL DECOR TO YOUR RECYCLED BOTTLE
1.The method is to go about painting your bottle is to start with either the left or the right side of the bottle, first decide which color to start with and start filling up those sections with the color of your choice. Before this step make sure you add the tapes and cover the surface where you don’t want the colorful ones to go. Once you finished applying the basic pastels on one side you have to wait till the paint settles (in my case they were acrylic ones and nail polish) otherwise paint can be damaged when removal of the tape.
2.Next, apply the tape and cover those parts where previously painted as a mean of protection and apply your color to the place where it is still clear (in my case that was the grey).
3.Keep painting up the other side of the glass after the paint dried.
4.Lastly create sections with your tape where you would like the striped elements to be painted. If you are skilled enough, get your crafty side shine by free-style the stripes.
Lastly, don’t forget to re-apply paints where ever it is necessary.
5.Add an extra layer of protection with matte or gloss transparent spray or decoupage (mod podge) layer and let it sit and dry.
Yay, now you are ready to bring cheerfulness, playfulness, bold and bright effect into the room!
