POM POM POM NECKLACE DIY

I think you are mistaken if you believe pom pom only can be worn during the fall and cooler months?! Those days are long gone thankfully to fashion globalisation and open borders, haha. Free your mind from old way thinking and apply these happy whimsical, cheerful little balls to your accessory collection.

If you are not ready to wear pom pom you can find others ways to utilise the vibe. You can frame them and place a trendy pom pom art to your work desk.

You can also embellish your sandals with merry little or big multi coloured pom poms or make a fun scarf out of them using the same method as on the pics below. The good thing is, it is completely customisable, you can make them from one colour or can use as much colour as it pleases your eyeballs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE A POM POM NECKLACE:

around 7 pom pom made from yarn - made my own and followed this tutorial
thicker thread like any hand embroidery thread/yarn/rayon floss
60 cm long 0,5 cm wide grosgrain ribbon

INSTRUCTIONS

thread your needle with the thick embroidery and start fixing each pom pom to each other, make sure you are somehow find the middle section of the pom pom so it will have it secured whilst you are sewing them up into a garland. Keep longer end on both sides and knot the end a few times
cut the ribbon and as per the pic start securing the end with a needle so it can be attached to the last 2 pom poms at the ends. Secure the ribbon to the pom poms by stitching through with your needle a couple of times, knot the ends once finished.

I loved making it and I am already planning to make a more colourful version and perhaps something which could be perfect for Fall. It isn’t like I would be limiting myself to those weeks as this can be worn all year around. Do you wear them during the summer as well or only in colder days?
